Terms & Conditions

Local Souk is a marketplace platform, not a seller. We connect buyers with independent artisan sellers who have been manually reviewed and approved by us. We do not manufacture, store, or ship any products. All sales are between the buyer and the seller, facilitated by Local Souk.

Local Souk facilitates connections between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for:

• Product quality, accuracy of descriptions, or fitness for purpose
• Delays, damages, or losses during delivery
• Disputes between buyers and sellers regarding products or delivery

For Whish Money orders, Local Souk acts as a payment intermediary and will work to resolve payment disputes. For Cash on Delivery orders, payment responsibility lies solely between the buyer and the seller.

We will always do our best to help resolve disputes, but final responsibility for products and delivery lies with the seller.

All sellers on Local Souk are manually reviewed and approved before they can list products. We verify seller identity and product authenticity to the best of our ability.

The Verified badge indicates a seller who has passed our review process. It is a sign of our diligence, not a guarantee of product quality or outcome.

We reserve the right to remove any seller, listing, or product at any time and for any reason, without prior notice.

By placing an order you confirm:

• You are providing accurate delivery information
• You understand and agree to the payment terms applicable to your order

For Whish Money orders: You agree to send the exact order amount to the Local Souk Whish number provided at checkout. You must send a screenshot of your payment confirmation to Local Souk via WhatsApp immediately after transferring. Orders will not be processed until payment proof is received and verified. Failure to provide proof of payment may result in your order being cancelled.

For Cash on Delivery orders: You agree to have payment ready at the time of delivery. Payment is made directly to the seller and Local Souk has no involvement in this transaction.

You may not use Local Souk to purchase illegal goods or engage in any fraudulent activity.

By selling on Local Souk you confirm:

• Your products are legal, authentic, and accurately described
• You will fulfill orders promptly and communicate honestly with buyers
• You will not list counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods
• You understand that Whish Money payments are held by Local Souk and transferred to you upon order confirmation

Violation of any of these terms will result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform.

The following are strictly prohibited on Local Souk:

• Listing or purchasing illegal products of any kind
• Fraud, misrepresentation, or deceptive practices
• Harassment or abuse of other users
• Attempting to conduct transactions outside the platform to avoid fees or accountability
• Creating fake reviews or manipulating ratings
• Any activity that violates Lebanese law or the laws of the buyer's country

We will permanently ban any user found engaging in prohibited activity and reserve the right to report illegal conduct to the relevant authorities.

Whish Money: When you pay via Whish Money, your payment is sent directly to Local Souk. Local Souk holds the payment and transfers it to the seller once proof of payment is received and the order is confirmed. You must provide a screenshot of your Whish transfer to Local Souk via WhatsApp as proof of payment. Orders will not be fulfilled without confirmed proof of payment. If an order is cancelled before processing begins, Local Souk will refund your payment in full via Whish. Local Souk is not responsible for failed or incorrect transfers initiated by the buyer (wrong number, insufficient balance, etc.).

Cash on Delivery: COD payments are made directly to the seller at the time of delivery. Local Souk has no involvement in COD transactions and accepts no responsibility for COD payments, disputes, or non-payment.

We collect only the information necessary to operate the platform: your name, contact details, and order history. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Order details are shared with the relevant seller solely to fulfill your purchase.

WhatsApp notifications are sent via our messaging system to the number you provide at checkout or in your profile.

We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

Continued use of Local Souk after any changes means you accept the updated terms.
